TIME CAPSULE PROJECT IS ABOUT ALL OF US

The time Capsule project is about all of us! Be part of history by expressing memories of 2020-2021 in Meadville and Crawford County to citizens 50 years from now. It is not too late to meet the deadlines for submissions Friday, September 24 at the Meadville Area Middle School. 

One question is, “How may we all provide a snapshot of today’s culture in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic?” I found the answer in part in 100 Time Capsule Ideas by Janet Reinhold (2005). These are some of the suggestions:

Government:

  • Information/actions taken about the COVID-19 pandemic 
  • Letters to future office holders 50 years from now 
  • Letter to future citizens 
  • Special community awards
  • Documents
  • Government meetings (i.e. minutes, recordings, policies)
  • Celebrations (i.e. Crawford Fair, Parades)
